It is great to see people within the City of Troy fighting for an initiative which reflects the first steps needed to promote agriculture sustainability and environmental responsibility. If allowed to grow and develop actions such as these can lead humans in the right direction. Almost a return to the past in terms of food production and security, and in my opinion, how it should be done.

Keep up the good fight. We are fighting the Lansing, Kansas, city council. Some council members in this rural town wish to outlaw backyard chickens. Current chicken owners will be allowed to keep birds, but we'd be happier if they stopped taking away our rights.

Hello fellow backyard chicken rights fighter. We have a group here in Toronto, Canada fighting the same battle. The trend continues to build, I believe that it is just a matter of time that the ordinances will change to reflect the times and the rights of the citizens. We are preparing a package to be presented to City Hall here. It will be on the website: www.torontochickens.com.
